Poland states there was no failure of gas supplies through Ukraine
Ukraine fully fulfills all its transit obligations with respect to contracts for the supply of Russian gas to Poland. This was stated by the chairman of the board of the Polish oil and gas company PGNiG Petr Wozniak, reports Polsat News.

In particular, according to him, during the monitoring of the volume of gas that comes in transit to Poland, there were no failures.

"We are following the volumes of gas that transit to Poland from Russia via Ukraine, we did not notice any anomalies, the gas is supplied normally," Wozniak stressed.

The chairman of the board of the Polish company specified that PGNiG signed with Ukraine a short-term contract for the supply of small volumes of gas to the end of March, but Poland has enough gas for its own needs and for supplying Ukraine.

"We are ready to supply more gas, and we have declared this to Ukrainian partners, we are in constant contact with the Ukrainian side and, if necessary, are ready to give them a hand, that is, to sell gas," Wozniak said.

As reported, after the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration, Gazprom declared the initiation of the termination of contracts for the supply and transit of gas from the Naftogaz of Ukraine.
On February 28, the Stockholm Arbitration Court satisfied Naftogaz's claims on the suit against Gazprom. Naftogaz achieved compensation in the amount of $ 4.63 billion for Gazprom's failure to deliver agreed volumes of gas for transit. Also, Gazprom must pay 2.56 billion dollars in favor of Naftogaz. For the debt will be charged interest - 526 thousand dollars per day, starting from March 1.

However, Gazprom does not agree with the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration to pay compensation to Naftogaz.

On March 1 in "Gazprom" reported that "Naftogaz of Ukraine" has made an advance payment for the resumption of Russian gas supplies since March. Simultaneously, Gazprom returned the money, saying that this was due to the lack of an agreed supplementary agreement with the current contract. In "Naftogaz" they called Gazprom's refusal to supply gas with a breach of the contract and failure to comply with the arbitration award.

And on March 2 Naftogaz urged Ukrainians to lower the temperature in the premises by 1-2 degrees to save gas consumption.
