Russian court to sentence Ukrainian journalist Sushchenko to 20 years in prison

The Russian court is going to sentence Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko to 20 years of imprisonment. This was reported to UNIAN by his lawyer Mark Feygin.

"Tomorrow, on the eve of the court session, my clients' (Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko) wife and daughter will arrive to the court, where judge is going to give him 20 years for "collecting information about the alleged Russian invasion of Ukraine" in the summer and fall of 2016, according to the investigation
The journalist of Ukrinform was detained in Moscow on September 30, 2016. He was accused of espionage. Since that time, Sushchenko has been kept in jail. Ukraine repeatedly appealed to the Russian Federation with a demand to immediately release the journalist.
