Ukrainian government approves signing of Framework program on cooperation with UN

The] made a decision to sign the Framework program on the cooperation between the government of Ukraine and the UN for 2018-2022 as Government Portal reported.
First Vice-Prime-Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv got the authority to sign the document.

The government notes that this framework program provides the signing of a new strategic document for five years (until 2022) for the further financing by the establishments, funds and programs of the UN.
The support of the UN will be provided in four main directions: 1. stable economic growth, environment and employment; 2. equal access to quality and inclusive services and social protection; 3. democratic governance, supremacy of law and public participation; 4. security of civilians, social equality and restoration with the special emphasize at the east.

The approximate volume of the resources that are planned to be attracted for the implementation of the UN Framework program in Ukraine equals to 675 579 000 million dollars for 2018-2022.
The signing of the agreement should take place during the UN week dedicated to the Day of the UN that is celebrated on October 24, 2017, and celebration of 25 anniversary of the UN in Ukraine.

Ukraine was elected as the member of the UN Council on Human Rights for 2018-2020. Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin called the UN the ground for pressure on Russia. President Poroshenko claimed that the UN Council is a very important platform for the upholding of the national interests.
