Occupied Donbas' Ukrainians with Russian passports won't have EU visa waiver - PoroshenkoUkrainians in the occupied territory who have received Russian passports will not be able to use the visa-free regime with the European Union.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced this on Monday on the air of the ICTV channel.

Answering a question about whether there will be a possibility for residents of the occupied territories to more easily obtain passports, Petro Poroshenko said:

“Citizens of the occupied territories will not be more comfortable than citizens of the rest of Ukraine. Because the person in the occupied territory, the person in the annexed Crimea should choose whether one wants to be a citizen of Ukraine or a citizen of the aggressor country.”
