2 Ukrainian troops killed, 3 injured amid 83 militant attacks in Donbas over last dayMilitants shelled Ukrainian Armed Forces 83 times in Donbas. As a result of the attack, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed, another three were injured.

This is reported by the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters on Facebook.

“The situation in ATO area remains tense. 83 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions were registered during the past 24 hours. Breaking the agreements, Russian-occupation forces are shelling Ukrainian defenders from weapons with a caliber of more than 100 mm. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed during the day and night, another three were injured,” the message says.

In Mariupol direction, the occupants attacked positions in Vodyane, Shyrokyne and Hnutove areas from 122 mm artillery systems. Militants shelled Hnutove from 120 mm mortars and Mariinka, Vodyane, and Pavlopil from 82 mm mortars, heavy machine guns, and grenade launchers. Positions in Vodyane were shelled from tank and Shyrokyne was shelled from IFV weaponry. Militant snipers were shooting in Hnutove and Vodyane.

In Donetsk direction, militants near Troitske, the militants shelled Ukrainian positions from 152 mm artillery. Positions in Avdiivka, Troitske, and Luhanske were hit from 120 mm mortars, in Opytne, Avdiivka and Kamianka the enemy used 82 mm mortars. A tank was shelling in Troitske and IFV – in Luhanske. Militants shelled Kamianka and Nevelske from heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of different systems.

In Luhansk direction, militants used 122 mm artillery in Kalynove-Popasna area. They shelled Krymske from IFV, 120 mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems. The occupants also shelled Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska and Novooleksandrivka.

“ATO forces opened fire to reduce enemy’s attacks,” the message says.
