German police raid several suspected right-wing extremist homes German police have searched 12 apartments belonging to right-wing extremists across the country targeting a group suspects accused of planning attacks on policemen, asylum seekers and Jews, DW reports.

Some 200 police officers were deployed across Germany early Wednesday to carry out raids on 12 apartments and other rooms believed to belong to right-wing extremists.

The operation took place across the states of Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony-Anhalt.

The raids targeted a six suspects accused of planning attacks on policemen, asylum-seekers and Jews, while the seventh is said to have supported the group.

The searches are said to provide further evidence in investigations.
