Medium-range surface-to-air missiles will be tested during a Ukrainian Air Force exercise in Kherson region on December 1-2, Roman Yurchylo, the head of the Ukrainian Air Force press service, told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Exercises involving tests of guided medium-range surface-to-air missiles will take place on December 1-2. The drills will involve crews of combat aviation, transport aviation, surface-to-air missile troops units, radio-technical troops and communications, and also drones. One of the elements of the exercise will be air firing - guided medium-range missiles," he said on Wednesday.
Yurchylo said the exercise "will take place solely in Ukrainian air space, over the open sea, it will be conducted in accordance with international law."
The Ukrainian Air Force prepared and issued an official notification in a timely manner in accordance with certain procedures, he said.
