Anti-Russian sanctions must continue - Ukrainian president, Swedish FM
At a meeting between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom the parties coordinated their positions ahead of a European Council meeting and noted the need to extend anti-Russian sanctions.

"Poroshenko once again thanked the Swedish government for its unshakable position on the need to keep the anti-Russian sanctions in place until full restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine... The Swedish foreign minister noted that the sanctions must continue," the Ukrainian president's press office said in a statement on Monday evening.

The parties also coordinated their positions in the run-up to the European council meeting due to be held on December 15-16, in particular, on the introduction of visa-free travel for Ukrainians and completion of the association agreement ratification process.
