Another Ukrainian suspected 'spy' arrested in Crimea

Another Ukrainian suspected 'spy' arrested in Crimea Another citizen of Ukraine has been arrested in Crimea on Tuesday, sources told Russian news agencies, UA Today TV reports.

The man allegedly was in possession of a handgun and a grenade, in addition to ‘components' of a self-made explosive device.

The source in a law enforcement agency labelled the suspect a ‘presumptive' member of the Main Intelligence Office of Ukraine's Defense Ministry.

Ukraine's Defense Ministry says it is examining the information about the arrest.

'We are checking if the information is not lies. We are surprised, though, because, usually, the Russians publish such reports on Mondays. Maybe, Wednesdays will be a new tradition too', Defense Ministry's spokesman Andriy Lysenko said in an interview with Ukrainian news agency

This is not the first time Russia claims it arrested ‘Ukrainian spies' on the occupied peninsula.

On November 10, Russia's security service, the FSB, said it exposed a Ukrainian ‘sabotage group' in Sevastopol.

Before that, in August, the FSB said it arrested several Ukrainian special operatives, who had allegedly planned a terrorist attack on the peninsula.
