Netherlands may delay consultations on EU-Ukraine Association Agreement
A meeting of the Government of the Netherlands, where the Dutch side should resolve the issue of the continuation of consultations with the EU and Ukraine to find a formula for agreement on the EU-Ukraine Association, or delay it for a while after the parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, which is scheduled for mid-March 2017, is going to be held on Friday, October 28. This was announced by Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"Today should be a further meeting of the Dutch government. Today the decision whether extend the consultation with Brussels to come with a formula that satisfies all and move on to the elections, or to leave the issue for the time after the elections in the Netherlands", Klimkin said during a briefing.
He recalled that the parliamentary elections in the Netherlands will be held on March 15, 2017.
