Budapest explosion has no link to migrant crisis, Hungary PM
Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban said on Tuesday he does not link the migrant crisis to a blast on Saturday night in central Budapest, Reuters.
In the attack two police officers were wounded.
Speaking on public television, Orban said: "No sign points to any link between the migrant crisis and the explosion."
"We may not be able to exclude it but there is no sign of that now, "he added.
"Whatever the motives of the perpetrator, it is a heinous act... I instructed the interior minister to capture him, hunt him down and extract out of him what he did and why," Orban noted.
Orban's government is known for standing against the immigrants and consistently linking them to terrorism.
