An agreement between the US and Russia that predominantly will last seven days, will allow the UN convoys to bring aid to besieged districts.

Syrian government announced ceasefire albeit it reserved the right to respond decisively “using all forms of fire to any violation by the armed groups."

The US and Russia will form an unprecedented military partnership if the truce holds for a week.

Thus, cooperation will work to control airstrikes targeting Isis and Jabhat al-Nusra, the former Syrian affiliate of al-Qaeda that has relabelled itself as Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.

The civil war in Syria has lasted for five years already killing over a quarter of a million Syrians and forcing five million more to flee the country.
