Banks amount reduced by two in occupied CrimeaUnits of fourteen financial institutions currently operate on the peninsula, Kommersant.

In Russia-occupied Crimea half of the Russian banks have left the peninsula since the Crimean immediate annexation, according to Kommersant, citing figures from the central bank of the Russian Federation.

Now 14 units of financial institutions function on the peninsula, while in December 2014, 31 Bank had been represented here.

Before the annexation, circa 70 Ukrainian banks had operated in Crimean. Later, the National Bank of Ukraine has forbidden them to work on the annexed territory.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation said that among 31 financial institutions, 15 had their licenses revoked.
