Ukrainian ambassador to Poland spoke on the Polish attitude towards Ukraine

Ukrainian ambassador to Poland spoke on the Polish attitude towards UkrainePoland can not understand whether Ukraine has changed its direction for good, or it may come back, Radio Svoboda.

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Andrii Deshchitsa claimed on air of Radio Svoboda.

The Ambassador said: "Two years ago there was a very high lift in the Polish society, large volunteer movement in support of Ukraine. But now there is such impression that Poland expects whether changes in Ukraine have been final, whether there was a break in Ukraine's transition to a new quality, or not, whether it all could go back."

At the same time the Ukrainian ambassador believes that it is easier to talk to the Polish leadership on continuation of sanctions against Russia than to do so with the counterparts in other EU countries.

"With the Polish authorities, it is easier because they understand that they have problems and examples from history and know that Russia can be a threat to the Polish state," Andrii Deshchitsa said.

Poland continues to take pro-Ukrainian position in Brussels, namely to continue sanctions against Russia, to adopt visa-free regime, according to the ambassador.
