Eight Ukrainian servicemen have suffered injuries in the hostilities in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours but no one has been killed, Ukrainian Presidential Administration spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation Andriy Lysenko has said.
"None of our servicemen have been killed in the hostilities over the past day, yet eight have suffered injuries. All cases happened in the Donetsk sector," Lysenko said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
Fifty-three hostile attacks have been observed in the Donetsk area, about 40% of them in Luhanske, Zaitseve, Mayorsk and Avdiyivka, he said.
Five attacks were conducted in the Luhansk sector, including two in Stanytsia Luhanska and three near Triokhizbenka, Lysenko said.
