The Council of Europe did not appeal to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service concerning the visit of Council of Europe Commissioner Dunja Mijatovic to annexed Crimea
, as UNN reported citing Advisor of Border Guard Service Head Oleg Slobodyan.
“…any appeal came from the Council of Europe to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine,” Slobodyan commented the information about the visit of Mijatovic to Crimea.
When the information agencies asked whether Commissioner Mijatovic appealed to the Ukrainian authorized bodies on the visit to Crimea, the Council of Europe responded: “The statement of the Commissioner says that the visit is not confirmed yet and there are a lot of questions, which should be figured out before she will be able to deal with the human rights activity on the peninsula”.

The Council of Europe promised to report to the mass media about the information on the visit as soon as it is confirmed.
Earlier European Truth and Radio Liberty cited words of Dunja Mijatovic that she really intends to visit annexed Crimea but “it should be approved”.
“There are a lot of issues, which should be specified to make me allow to deal with the human rights activity on the peninsula”, Mijatovic added.

Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called the information about the visit of Council of Europe Commissioner Dunja Mijatovic to annexed Crimea to be “fake”.
As we reported the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) obliged Russia to immediately place political prisoner, Crimean Tatar Edem Bekirov into a hospital.
