Central Election Commission registered another 17 candidates for the posts of the lawmakers; two candidates were refused due to the incomplete package of documents as the commission reported.
The commission registered 17 candidates for the posts of the MPs of Ukraine, who stand as candidates in the single-seat electoral districts in the order of the self-nomination.
At the same time, the commission refused two candidates in the registration. They filed the incomplete package of documents.

Thus, as of June 12, 135 candidates for the post of the lawmakers of Ukraine were registered in the single-seat electoral districts. 128 of them were registered in the order of the self-nomination and seven were nominated by the political parties.
Moreover, the commission amended the membership of the district electoral commissions on the elections of the lawmakers of Ukraine at the snap elections on July 21, 2019, formed in the accordance with the regulation of the Central Election Commission dated May 31, 2019 #919.
On May 24, the electoral process kicked off in Ukraine. The elections are scheduled on July 21, 2019.

According to the Ukrainian legislation, the electoral process of snap elections begins on the next day after the President’s decree on early termination of the mandate of Verkhovna Rada and appointment of the new elections is published. Therefore, the electoral process starts on May 24, without the Central Commission making any decisions.
