Court postpones SkyUp air company's license
Baryshivsky district court of Kyiv region ruled that the transport license of SkyUp Airlines company will be temporarily suspended.
The license is suspended 'until the given lawsuit will be solved ad rem', reads the court's decision.
The decision was made due to the appeal of the complainant, Oksana Pasenko; she referred to systematic failure to live up to its commitments before the clients, the delayed flights and the absence of aviation safety control.
SkyUp responded that the complainant never used their services, and she never was their client. Besides, the company added that the court could not suspend the license since it was issued by the special authority.
SkyUp filed the appeal against the decision on June 5. Currently, the company expects a legal decision.
Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan argued that the district court has no authority to makes such decisions; this should be considered and decided by the administrative court, he explained. 'As long as I am the minister, SkyUp will keep on flying, and nothing threatens the company', he claimed on Facebook.
