The second round of the presidential election in Ukraine became an example of how true democratic free election should be conducted. Tetyana Slipachuk, the Head of CEC, Central Election Committee of Ukraine said this at a briefing on Monday.
'Everything that was done before... it is consistent with the law and it is democratic. It's on the level of the top international standards. So, I guess, the ending of the second round of the voting for the president of Ukraine is a very good example of how it should be conducted... and these true democratic free elections', Slipachuk said.

She admitted a high standard of the Committee's work during the current presidential campaign.
'I'd like to personally thank the new line-up of the CEC for the non-biasedness from all political candidates and political forces. I would like to personally thank the CEC secretariat for the diligent work, for the energy and diligence they donated for the entire electoral process. I also thank the members of electoral commissions all over the country and abroad... for their effort in the tough moment, when we had such a need and called them to join the army of our commissioners, and they agreed', Slipachuk said.
Slipachuk also expressed gratitude to all those involved in the electoral process for the 'due attitude for the work and the mission that they completed'.

'We managed to regain the trust of our voters in the electoral process, which is the most important for us', she said.
Slipachuk stated that the Committee expects the first original protocols with ink stamps to arrive today.
