Two airports in Kazakhstan corrected the English spelling of the capital of Ukraine. The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported that on Twitter on April 11.
'Two international airports, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Almaty now use 'Kyiv' spelling on their information displays in the search system of the website, and also in the tickets', reads the post.
In October 2018, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine launched the online campaign dubbed #CorrectUA, which urges the foreign media and airports to change the spelling of the capital of Ukraine from Kiev to Kyiv (#KyivNotKiev).

The list of international airports that changed the spelling includes Budapest, Tallinn, London, Gdansk, Batumi, Tbilisi, Bucharest, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Toronto and Warsaw.

The Ukrainian authorities also suggest that international media use purely Ukrainian spelling for such cities as Kharkiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and others, as well as 'Ukraine instead of the widespread mistake, 'the Ukraine'.
