The UN Security Council will convene for a session on March 15 to discuss the latest developments in the occupied Crimea. Ukraine's permanent representative in the UN Security Council Oleg Nikolenko said this in a commentary on Thursday.
According to him, the pro-Kremlin government of the peninsula still prosecutes activists, journalists, Crimean Tatars and everyone who condemns the occupation of Crimea.

Recently, Ukraine's ambassador in the U.S. Valeriy Chaly asked Google management to correct the depiction of Crimea, which is shown as Russian territory on Google Maps - for Russia-based users.
Crimea was annexed by Russia after the illegal referendum held on the peninsula in March 2014. Earlier, the Russian military captured all strategic military objects and buildings of the key authoritative bodies. Neither Ukraine nor the rest of the civilized countries recognized the results of the referendum. A number of the European and the world countries, including Ukraine, imposed the economic sanctions against Russia.
