NATO has enhanced its support in the Black Sea and urges Russia once more for immediate release Ukrainian POW sailors as NATO reported after meeting with Ukraine at headquarters.
Political Director of Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleksy Makeev and Representative of the Crimean Tatar community Eskender Bariev stated about the violation of human rights in annexed Crimea by Russia. According to the Ukrainian representatives, the violation of human rights on the peninsula aims against the Crimean Tatars and other ethnical, political and religious groups.

In his turn, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has urged Russia to immediately release Ukrainian POWs captured in November 2018 near Kerch Strait.
“Crimea is Ukraine. After five years, the allies in NATO do not and will not recognize the illegal annexation by Russia. We continue to support Ukraine politically and in fact. We did not forget about high price, which is paid by the Ukrainian nations for its will to decide the future without interference from outside,” Stoltenberg said.
Besides, it was noted that NATO has enhanced its practical support in the Black Sea.

Earlier Russia has asked the UN ombudswoman to protect the citizens of Crimea from the actions of the Ukrainian authority.
Crimea was annexed by Russia after the illegal referendum was held on the peninsula in March 2014. Earlier, the Russian military captured all strategic military objects and buildings of the key authoritative bodies. Neither Ukraine nor the rest of the civilized countries recognized the results of the referendum. A number of the European and the world countries, including Ukraine, imposed the economic sanctions against Russia.
