Frigate, assault boat of Turkish Navy arrive in Odesa port
TCG Barbaros frigate and TCG Marti assault boat of the Turkish Naval Forces have arrived in the port of Odesa as reported.
The visit takes place within the annual drills of the Turkish Navy, Mavi Vatan 2019.

67 Turkish naval vessels will visit 40 foreign ports from March 6 until March 8 in the Sea of Marmara, Aegean Sea and the Black Sea within the maneuvers. Frigate and assault boat will enter Georgian Batumi; frigate and minesweeper will enter Romanian Constanta; frigate and submarine will enter Bulgarian Varna. Corvette and minesweeper will enter Russian Novorossiysk.

TCG Barbaros frigate (F224) belongs to MEKO 200. It is named after Hayreddin Barbarossa, the Turkish admiral. The vessel is built by German Company Blohm+Voss and launched in 1997. There are various missile, artillery and anti-aircraft weapons on the board, including eight Mark 41 Vertical Launching Systems for Sea Sparrow missiles and eight systems for anti-ship missiles Harpoon. Helicopter Sikorsky S-70B Seahawk is the aerial weapons.
TCG Marti assault boat was launched in 1978. It is armed with 76-mm self-propelled artillery and 35-mm anti-aircraft artillery. Besides, it is equipped with anti-ship missiles Harpoon.
As we reported U.S. Navy's missile destroyer Donald Cook arrived at the port of Odesa and moored at the 16th pier near the Sea Port.

The destroyer is a part of the “Atlantic determination” mission. The mission’s aim is to strengthen coordination between the NATO partners and to maintain security in the region, according to the report.
Besides, it was monitored by the forces of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
