The status of dual citizenship should be legitimized in Ukraine, as UNIAN reported citing Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin.
“I think that it is necessary to allow dual citizenship. Yes, we need it. However, there should be no dual citizenship with the country-aggressor under no circumstances. It will be discussed only when they return us Donbas and Crimea,” Klimkin stated during his speech near the moored U.S. destroyer Donald Cook in Odesa.

The Foreign Minister specified that dual citizenship will allow involving foreign specialists for the work.
“So many good specialists can come from other countries to help us in the reforms. Look, even the situation with Ulyana Suprun tells a lot to us. We should come to it but clearly determine who can apply for it,” Klimkin said.

Earlier, Ukrinfrom published a video where a few Ukrainians receive Hungarian passports and owe allegiance to Hungry in the Consulate in Berehove, Zakarpattia region. The Hungarian diplomat recommended not to inform the Ukrainian authorities about receiving the new documents.
Yuriy Lutsenko, Prosecutor General, claimed that Ukraine's Security Service investigates this case; however, the service denied this.

Tamas Menczer, Hungary’s Foreign Minister Spokesperson, later reported that Hungary did not intend to withdraw its consul from Berehove due to the scandalous video about the issuance of Hungarian passports to the Ukrainians.
In its turn, Ukraine claimed that in case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary does not withdraw their consul from Berehove, and then Ukraine will offer him to abandon the territory.
