The European Union has expressed its concern over the Russian aggression against Ukraine in Kerch Strait as Euronews reported.
The assault on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine is not the only reason for such deep concern. Besides, the Azov Crisis negatively influences the economy of the EU and it begins to sustain losses.

"The activities in the Azov Sea slow down enormously the vessels that are also carrying European Union member states' flags so we are suffering an impact on our own economies," Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said.
At the same time, Ukraine continues asking EU for extra anti-Russian sanctions amid the conflict. Moreover, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has urged NATO countries to send the naval ships to the Sea of Azov.

Besides, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said:
"I would like to see European and NATO countries acting more promptly and being ready to react much faster. However, we understand that this is the decision of many and it does take time.... That is a threat not for Ukraine only, this is a threat for European security. And unfortunately some European politicians prefer to turn a blind eye to this problem."

As we reported Russian President Vladimir Putin explained why he did not answer the calls of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
“It is not like I am avoiding Poroshenko and do not want to talk with him…The thing is that I don’t want to participate in his elections campaign.”

As we reported earlier, the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy acted aggressively against the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov.
Given the tough situation in the area of Kerch Strait in the Sea of Azov, President Petro Poroshenko supported the offer of Ukraine's national security and defense council; it stipulates that the Ukrainian Parliament should consider the option to impose the martial law in Ukraine.

On November 28, the Uriadovy Kurier, the official outlet of the Ukrainian Cabinet, published the presidential decree No.392, which activates the decision of the National Security and Defense Council in Ukraine about the 30-days-long martial law in Ukraine.
