Kyiv took the 131th place among 140 countries in the rating of the most favourable cities for living in the world, according Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), BBC Russia reports.
The most drastic drop was recorded in Damask (Syria) and Kyiv (Ukraine) by 26% and 25% respectively according to the EIU.
The researches named the conflicts as the reasons of such a decline.

The cities are estimated based on the five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.

The researches pointed out that New York, London, Paris, Tokia remain being one of the most prestigious cities in the world. However, all of them are disadvantaged by the high crime rate, overpopulation and traffic issues.
