Lady Gaga 'devastated' by Zombie Boy death

Lady Gaga has paid tribute to her Born This Way co-star after his sudden death, saying "we must save each other".
Rick Genest, also known as Zombie Boy, died on Wednesday in what Lady Gaga referred to as a suicide.
She tweeted: "The suicide of friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy is beyond devastating. We have to work harder to change the culture, bring Mental Health to the forefront and erase the stigma that we can't talk about it. If you are suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other."

She later added: "Science tells us that it takes 21 days to form a habit, if you are suffering from Mental Health issue I beckon for today to be your first day or a continuation of the work you've been doing. Reach out if you're in pain, and if you know someone who is, reach out to them too."Kindness and mental health aren't one time practices."Zombie Boy, a 32-year-old Canadian model, was known for his head-to-toe tattoos and starred alongside Lady Gaga in the 2011 video for her track Born This Way.He had also appeared in magazines including GQ and Vogue.

In an interview with The Mirror in 2016, he revealed he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour aged 15, and had been told he could die or be left disfigured.He admitted this led to his obsession with the morbid, and despite the operation going well, he pursued his interests in tattoos and body modifications.His first tattoo came at the age of 16, and after running away from home he became known as Zombie by friends.He said: "I became addicted to tattoos and now have a complete body suit (minus my privates) and a full facial tattoo of a skeleton-style face and zombie-like brain.
