Star Wars: Episode IX director Trevorrow quits

Writer and director Colin Trevorrow has "parted ways" with the producers of Star Wars: Episode IX.

The publication also said that the relationship between him and Lucasfilm's boss Kathleen Kennedy was "unmanageable".She had tried not to lose another director, however, it added.In June, directing duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller were replaced.Lucasfilm - now a subsidiary of Disney - decided to sack the men behind the new Han Solo spin-off, halfway through production.According the studio, Phil Lord and Chris Miller's comedic tones weren't in line with the vision Lucasfilm had for the franchise.Star Wars: Episode IX, starring John Boyega, is due for release in 2019.
