"Sherlock" writer, producer cancel Moscow master class amid series leakageSteven Moffat and Sue Vertue will not come to Moscow invited by Russian Channel One, which broadcast series, in the light of leakage probe.

Sherlock writer Steven Moffat and producer Sue Vertue cancelled an appearance at a Moscow master class on short notice as the leak of the Russian version of the season's finale to the Internet is being investigated.

A spokesperson for BBC told The Hollywood Reporter: "Due to the continuing investigations regarding the leaked Sherlock episode in Russia, BBC Worldwide postponed the planned master class for Channel One’s TV academy with Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue."

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused for those due to attend and we will reschedule this once investigations are concluded," she added.

The television academy run by Channel One, that aired Sherlock in Russia, expected Moffat and Vertue to give a master class.

Earlier, BBC launched an investigation over the leakage of Sherlock episode in Russia.
