New York Critics named best film of 2016

New York Critics named best film of 2016 A romantic musical with an old-Hollywood style "La La Land" has been named the best film of 2016.

The New York Film Critics Circle honoured on Thursday achievements in film industry for the ending 2016.

Among other big winners from the NYFCC are the actors from the family drama "Manchester by the Sea".

Casey Affleck claimed the best actor prize for his work and Michelle Williams won best supporting actress for her work in the same film.

Moonlight's Barry Jenkins took best director, and the film's Mahershala Ali was awarded the critics group's best supporting actor prize.

Zootopia was named best animated film.

Best Supporting Actress: Michelle Williams, Manchester by the Sea and Certain Women
Best Animated Film:Zootopia
Best Cinematography: James Laxton, Moonlight
Best First Film (tie): The Edge of Seventeen, Krisha
Best Foreign Language Film: Toni Erdmann
Best Documentary: O.J.: Made in America
