Host city to Eurovision 2017 in Ukraine to be decided in week or two – Culture Minister
The city to host the Eurovision international song contest in 2017 could be defined in a week or two, Ukraine's Ministry of Culture has said.
"There are a lot of various things, the issues of security and others, including financial matters. But this is the next phase, which requires technical time, and then we'll listen to the opinion of the European Broadcasting Union and announce the city by the decision of the organising committee. I won't name the date now: of course, it could be in a week, up to two weeks, something like this," Minister of Culture Yevhen Nishchuk said on the air of TV Channel Five.
He added the Eurovision regulations do not specify when the city for holding the competition should be determined and the delay is not critical here.
