Airline defends 'bizarre' Drew Barrymore article

EgyptAir has said it is standing by a "far from fake interview" with Drew Barrymore which has gone viral on social media.
Beginning with an introduction of the Hollywood star detailing her "several unsuccessful marriages" and subconscious need "for attention from a male figure", the bizarre article is littered with spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, somewhat insulting comments and dubious-sounding quotes.
It goes on to discuss Barrymore's weight, with the interviewer asking for "her secret" - commenting that she has "returned to her previous graceful body" after gaining weight following pregnancy.
This interview with Drew Barrymore in the Egypt Air in flight magazine is, umm, surreal.— Adam Baron (@adammbaron) October 2, 2018
Photos of the "surreal" in-flight magazine interview posted by Yemen analyst Adam Baron on Twitter earlier this week have amassed thousands of retweets and likes, with many people speculating about the authenticity of the interview. Now, it appears writer Aida Takla has responded to the criticism in a series of tweets, although from an unverified account with a different spelling of her name. The tweets say the article may have been edited but that "this doesn't negate the fact that the interview with Drew Barrimoor [sic] which took place in New York is genuine &far from fake".They also say she interviewed "charming and talented" Barrymore "several times".
