Pension reform remains main condition for next tranche for Ukraine - IFMThe International Monetary Fund is ready to keep the pension reform as the main condition for the next tranche for Ukraine and exclude the adoption of the land reform.

This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine citing a source close to the negotiations.

According to the source, the IMF made such decision due to the fact that there is no agreement between the IMF and the Ukrainian Government on the key points of the land reform and the proper project is not worked out.

However, he noted that the project of the pension reform is already submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after the preliminary agreement with IMF.

The IMF approved the decision to allocate one billion of dollars to Ukraine on April 3.

The EFF program was opened in March 2015 and it is aimed for four years. The total amount of the program is 17.11 billion of dollars. The first tranche in five billion of dollars provided the review of the program in every three months. Three tranches in 1.63 billion of dollars were allocated in 2015 and the tranches in 2016-2018 should be allocated every three months in the amount of 0.61 billion of dollars.
