Ukraine's Finance Ministry launches fiscal service reformFinance Ministry of Ukraine and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine announced a start of a fiscal service inclusive reform project.

The Finance Ministry reported after the constituent meeting with participation of Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk and acting head of the State Fiscal Service Myroslav Prodan.

"The main goal is to reduce corruption and reorganize the State Fiscal Service into a targeted servicing agency," the ministry said.

The ministry said that the project will be implemented jointly with the State Fiscal Service and support of advisors from an international consulting company, which name has not been disclosed.

The ministry said that the three-tier project has the supervisory board as a first tier. The board consists of representatives of western governmental structures, international institutions and foundations: the U.S. Department of Commerce, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Department of Finance of Canada, the Finance Ministry of Germany, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and representatives of the European Union.

"The supervisory board coordinates the project, approves goals and monitors the implementation of the project," the ministry said.
