Intl telecom provider launching in Ukraine SIM card that can work in 229 countriesAn international telecom company is launching in Ukraine a SIM card that can work in 229 countries around the globe.

This is reported by Ukraine's newspaper KyivPost.

Called Drimsim, the operator works via a smartphone application available for the Android and iOS devices.

Incoming calls go through U.K. operators (+44 code) as Britain is the base station for Drimsim.

Drimsim was founded in 2011, and it took the company 5 years to develop the tech and to reach an agreement with numerous mobile carriers and enter the mass market. The operator has its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain and has logistic centers in four other countries: Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Lebanon.

“I dreamed of doing what I like most in any spot in the world… and I saw a technical solution for this,” says Sergey Redkov, Drimsim founder.

In May, Ukraine became the first country in which the brand was officially presented.
