Nasirov's wife bails out her arrested on embezzlement charges husband for UAH 100m
The wife of Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov who has been suspended from the post stood UAH 100 million bail for his husband, the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) has reported

"Today, the wife of Roman Nasirov who is suspected of committing a crime under Part 2, Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine [abuse of office] stood for bail granted by the investigating judge of Solomiansky District court of Kyiv on March 7, 2017, in the amount of UAH 100 million. The money arrived at the special account of Solomiansky District court," SAPO said on its Facebook page late on Thursday.

As reported earlier, Ukraine's government suspended Nasirov pending an investigation, alleging that the tax chief defrauded the state of 2 billion hryvnias ($74 million). The National Anti-Corruption Bureau said Nasirov signed off on grace periods for a number of taxpayers— including companies linked to a former lawmaker who fled abroad last year while facing a corruption investigation.
