The tech giant is likely to contribute automated-driving and battery technology while outsourcing manufacturing to another company, Reuters reported.




Tech-industry experts told Business insider Tesla, Volkswagen, and Magna Steyr are the most likely candidates to build Apple's car.

Over the years, reports have indicated Apple is developing a car, though the company has never described those plans publicly. On Monday, Reuters reported that Apple wants to have that vehicle ready by 2024.But Apple probably won't tackle the entire project itself, according to Reuters, which reported that the tech giant will likely develop an automated-driving system and battery technology for the vehicle while enlisting another company to handle manufacturing.Business Insider asked two tech-industry experts which automakers they think could build Apple's car.
