Amazon in January said then-chief financial officer Sean Boyle "moved on to another role within AWS" and the company would be announcing that role "imminently." Instead, Boyle left the company. In June, his successor did too.

The CFO who replaced Boyle, Luis Visoso, has also since left AWS and is now CFO for cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks.

Amazon has yet to respond to a request about whether the company has appointed a new cloud CFO.
