When the $2 trillion CARES Act was passed, its signature Paycheck Protection Program quickly took center stage and overshadowed another initiative that could actually be more useful for some businesses.
CPA and small business advisor Mackey McNeill says small businesses frustrated by PPP should check out the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) Employee Retention Credit.
"I think it's worth at least a few minutes of your time to sit down and see which one of these gives you the most money," she told Business Insider.
