Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has been listed as Fortune's Businessperson of the Year, one of Comparably's best CEOs of 2019, and one of the most valuable executives — earning over $42 million in annual pay.




In an interview with Fast Company, Nadella said books inspire him to transform Microsoft's culture. Reading is a big part of his life.

Since taking over as Microsoft's CEO in 2014, the company has credited Nadella for his leadership, resulting in a staggering $42.9 million pay the last fiscal year. He's earned recognition as one of Comparably's best CEOs of 2019 and Fortune's Businessperson of the Year for 2019. Nadella has led the 44-year-old company toward a well above trillion-dollar valuation, according to Markets Insider.
Hence, one of the most valuable CEOs in the world grounds himself on ideas he's learned — thanks to his reading habits.
