NBU approves procurement policyThe National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved the procurement policy, the central bank said in a press release referring to resolution No. 881 of December 11, 2015.

According to the report, the document establishes and describes the key stages of procurement process: initiating, explaining of the necessity to hold a procurement tender, procurement planning, holding of electronic trading, selection of suppliers, monitoring of procurement and assessment of the quality of the contract realization.

"The approved procurement policy foresees clear methods, automated, standardized and centralized processes, careful use of natural resources and ecological procurement (so-called green procurement), regular disclosure of information on procurement to the public," the NBU said.

The central bank defined conditions and measures that are banned to apply by the regulator and supplies of goods and services, and among them is participation in tenders for persons affiliated with the central bank, provision of untrue information, setting discriminative requirements to bidders, goods and services and the non-transparency of the procedure for selecting the winner.

The legal documents of the NBU in the area will be formed on the basis of the adopted policy, the bank said.
