Trade volume between Ukraine and Russia halved in nine monthsThe trade volume between Ukraine and Russia crashed by more than 50 percent in the first nine months of 2015, Ukraine State Statistics Service reports.

According to released data, exports of Ukrainian goods to Russia collapsed by 55.6 percent to total $3.6 billion compared to $8.1 billion booked in the same period last year. Imports of goods from Russia are down 47.9 percent totaling $5.5 billion.

However, Russia still remains the largest trading partner of Ukraine - it accounts for 12.8 percent of exports and 20 percent of imports. The next most important export market for Ukraine is Turkey with the exports share of 7.3 percent, while Ukraine imports mostly from Germany and China accounting for 10.9 percent and 9.8 percent respectively.

Moreover, imports of Russian goods in the third quarter of 2015 exceeded by 1.5 times exports of Ukrainian goods to Russia.
