Israeli, Ukrainian PMs end spat between two countries over Kiev’s support of Israeli settlements UN resolutionUkrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during an official visit to Israel has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit Ukraine and the latter has accepted the invitation.

This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

"He invited the prime minister of Israel to pay a visit to Ukraine. Benjamin Netanyahu accepted the invitation, we will be happy to see him in Ukraine!" Groysman wrote on his Facebook page.

However, the Prime Minister did not disclose any details, as well as the dates of Netanyahu's forthcoming visit to Ukraine.

As A Time for Israel news site said, Netanyahu's meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart in Jerusalem marked a formal end to a spat between the two countries over Kiev’s support for a UN Security Council resolution against Israeli settlements.

Volodymyr Groysman was welcomed in Israel as Ukraine’s first Jewish prime minister.

“This is a moment of courageous friendship because of the shared history that connects Ukraine and Israel,” Benjamin Netanyahu said, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
